Welcome to the forum for Members of the Royal Academy of Dance Germany, Austria and Switzerland!


The forum is moderated by the Royal Academy of Dance gGmbH and is only open to members of the Royal Academy of Dance Germany, Austria and Switzerland.


It was set up in response to the growing need for RAD members in Germany, Austria and Switzerland to connect with each other in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Aimed at strengthening the network of RAD members in these countries, it is intended for communication between members on issues that are important to them, such as tips on teaching online dance lessons.

 

Please note that the forum is not intended as a method of direct contact with Royal Academy of Dance staff members. For urgent questions regarding examinations, CPD training, study courses and RAD membership, please continue to contact the office of the Royal Academy of Dance Germany, Austria and Switzerland directly. 

In this forum, registered users can:

  •   post dance related topics;
  •   give feedback on RAD courses;
  •   receive answers, help and tips from RAD staff and other forum users;
  •   exchange knowledge and experience with other RAD Members.

1.    Forum instructions

 

To change the forum language to English, click on your username and on "Einstellungen", "Benachrichtigungen und das Verhalten des Forums ändern". Here you can change the forum language from German to English. Forum posts will remain in their original language.

 

Forum subject areas: include teaching methods, ballet technique, online teaching, further education, dance school management, ballet examinations and applications (for example, for new teachers, dance and studio equipment and pianists).

1. Click on "Register" and fill in all the necessary information. Please note that cookies must be enabled in order for the forum to identify you as a member.

2. After your account has been activated by the forum administrator, an activation link will be sent to the e-mail address you provided - please click on the link.

 

Posting a question

To post a question, you must be logged in.

 

Click on a topic in the list of forum areas and click on "Click here to create a new topic" (or, if you are on a mobile phone or tablet, on the red "Neue Frage stellen" button. Write your question in the box "Betreff" (on a mobile phone or tablet in the box "Thema") and enter a detailed explanation of your question in the text box.

 

To avoid duplicate questions, it is helpful to check the forum area first to see if your question has already been posted.

Please post your question in the correct forum area depending on the topic.

 

Answering and commenting on questions

Write your answer in the text box below "Frage beantworten", or if you are using a mobile phone or tablet, press the orange button "Frage beantworten".

To write a comment related to an answer, click on "Neuer Kommentar" on the right below the answer.

 

Rate existing answers positively

If you think an answer is good or correct, click on the button "Antwort als richtige Antwort markieren" at the top right of the answer. The answer with the most positive ratings will appear with a green flag at the top of the discussion.

 

Subscribe to a topic

You have the possibility to subscribe to a topic. In the forum discussion, click on the dark grey button "Aktionen" on the top right and select "Thema abonnieren". If you have subscribed to a topic, you will receive an email immediately with each new reply and will thus be informed about new posts in this topic. You can view the current status at any time under "Settings" and you can also unsubscribe topics.

 

Report a post or comment to the administrator

If you have found misleading or false posts that violate the forum rules, you can report this post to the administrator. Click on the flag symbol below the post - you will then be taken to a new page where you can write an explanation to the administrator.

2. Forum Rules

During registration, your membership status will be checked against our member database using the e-mail address you provide. If you use a different email address to register for the forum, please let us know.

No responsibility is taken for the content or accuracy of any posts; each author in the forum is responsible for the content of their own post. The content of linked pages is the sole responsibility of the page operators.

The same rules apply online in the forum as in real life: please use a polite and constructive tone.

In this forum it is prohibited in particular to:

  • publish insulting, misleading or false content, as well as contributions that violate German or international law.
  • post a discussion topic more than once or in the wrong topic area - please look first at the questions already asked.
  • publish content that violates the rights of third parties (especially trademark, copyright and personal rights).
  • publish legally protected content without authorisation or indication of source.

At the user's request, the administrator can permanently delete the user's own account and/or own submitted contributions within seven days of the notification being viewed.

If the terms of use are not adhered to, the Royal Academy of Dance® gGmbH as forum moderator reserves the right to delete the user's account permanently and to change, edit and/or delete individual contributions.
